Nothing beats a crunchy slice of toast topped with a freshly poached egg and a sprinkle of salt and pepper for breakfast. You can eat it with different flavors, using the ingredients you have on hand, Cream cheese, smoked salmon, avocado, etc.
~ 1 large egg
~ 1 slice bread (bread of your choice)
~ cream cheese
~ salt and pepper
Ajvar or chili paste or any of your favorite dips ( depends on your taste)
~ For poaching the egg you need a small pan, fill it with cold water and bring it to the boil. Add the vinegar and turn down the heat.
~ Crack the egg into a small bowl and gently tip into the boiling water.
~ Poach for 3-4 minutes.
~ Remove with a spoon and drain the excess water.
~ Meanwhile, toast your slice of bread, spread some butter on top, add your cream cheese and any of your favorite dips, add the poached egg, sprinkle it with some pepper and sea salt.
